My Gospel Standards Coloring Pages

The trouble with me and having a blog is that it is always at the bottom of my priority list. Especially when I get on to do a post and get pics uploaded and sized and positioned and then somehow I accidentally delete all my work. At that point I decide that really it wasn't that important to me after all and move on to things that won't mysteriously delete from before my eyes.

I finished a hand lettering project though and wanted to post about it. I was happy with my Gospel Standards poster but knew I could do better. I wanted each illustration to be on its own letter sized paper so my kids could use it as a coloring book during sacrament meeting on Sunday's and to enrich Family Home Evening lessons.

I wish I knew how to upload PDF's to my blog and I could upload my black and white's of all the pages. I have it all together in one PDF document in hopes that other families could also use it for their kids during the upcoming general conference weekend and also on Sunday's, for FHE, and for activity days and Faith in God enrichment. So I am going to send it out to friends and family and possibly make an attempt to get the PDF online somewhere. I had a lot of fun getting all of the black and white's colored and LOVE the results, and even better my kids are excited about them. I heard a friend say once that her Mom put the most important words she wanted her family to read on the bathroom wall because it is where they spent the most time looking at walls. These are definitely going on the bathroom wall.

My Gospel Standards were first brought to my attention (because my kids aren't old enough for Cub Scouts or Achievement Day's yet) when they were published in the Children's Friend magazine. I love the clear and basic wording of the Gospel Standards. What is especially significant to me is that My Gospel Standards applies to everyone but was written for young children to help them see what Heavenly Father wants them to know and stand for.

Completing this project helped me further my skills and see what I needed to work on. As always I am looking forward to another project.
